Cross Webcast Metrics allows users working with Studio Webcasting to compare high-level performance metrics for multiple webcasts in the same tenant. This reporting dashboard allows for filtering by date, webcast classification and webcast category. Each table can be exported into Excel, and snapshots of the dashboard can be exported as image files.
To access Cross Webcast Metrics, log into Studio Webcasting and, from the left tenant navigation bar, click on Cross Webcast Metrics.
The first step is to add a date range filter. You can use the provided drop-down menu to select the predefined time ranges (Last Year, 90 Days, 30 Days, 7 Days), or you can choose “Custom” to set your own date range. Note: The date filters are based upon live start date of the webcast. Only data from webcasts that have a live start date in the selected range will be displayed.
Next, select the webcast metrics you want to compare using the WEBCAST CLASSIFICATIONS taxonomy or the WEBCAST CATEGORIES you have previously added to your tenant. Note: Even though Webcast Classifications and Webcast Categories are separate tabs, both filters will be applied to the dashboard metrics, so take an extra moment to confirm that you have selected all the classifications and categories you want. Once you have added filters, click the RUN button at the bottom right-hand side of the browser to create your custom dashboard, or if you want to start over, click CLEAR.
Once the Dashboard has been created, click on HIDE FILTERS in the top right-hand corner of the browser to focus on the data report. You will now see four boxes with high level data:
- Total Registrants: This will display the total number of registrants for the webcasts based on the selected filters. The count of registrants is NOT filtered out based on the date filters. For example, if a webcast has a live start date in the date range filter, all registrants from that webcast will be displayed.
- Total Views: This is an accumulated total of unique viewers. For example, if a viewer watched a webcast twice, it will count as one unique view. If three viewers each watched two webcasts once, it will count as six unique views.
- Live Conversion Rate: This will display the percentage of registered viewers that watched the webcast live. The percentage is calculated by taking the value in 'Total Views' divided by the value in 'Total Registrants'.
- Average View Time: this will display the average minutes during the live webcast across all viewers.
In addition, you can hover over the information icon for a detailed description of each.
If you click on Total Registrants, Total Views, Live Conversion Rate or Average View Time, a histogram of data will display by date for all webcasts targeted by the filters. Depending on the date range you selected originally, the dropdown above the graph will give you the option of simplifying or going into further detail (for example, if you set the original date range for a year, you can get a chart showing one bar per week, or daily, or per month).
