Turning Registration On & Off

To turn registration on, open your project in Sitebuilder and select 'Registration' from the lefthand menu.

Then, use the toggle to turn registration on.

To turn registration off, simply switch the toggle to off.

Lastly, publish your page for the change to take effect.

Note: Registration is required for projects utilizing gating or Breakout and Fireside sessions.

Customizing the Registration Page Design

Once you've enabled registration, you can utilize the preview window to edit the layout, image, title, description, and logo by hovering over each one and selecting the pencil or picture icon.

Be sure to publish your page for the changes to take effect.

Note 1: The image will automatically adjust to fit the screen size of the user. Avoid using images containing text as it may be cut off.

Note 2: Mobile users will not see the image and description, only the sidebar area containing your fields.

Customizing the Registration Fields

To add or remove question fields, hover over the fields and select the pencil icon. Alternatively, hover over "General Info" in the lefthand page menu and select the pencil icon.

A modal will appear where you can toggle on pre-built fields and choose to make them Required or Optional.

Note: Always use the native, pre-built name fields as they map directly to attendee chat, profiles, and other features in the platform. Removing these fields will result in missing attendee names.

Creating Custom Fields

In addition to the default fields, users can create Custom Fields that will be available for all projects in a Channel.

To create a custom field, select "+ Custom Field" at the bottom of the modal.

A new modal will appear to create your field.

Enter a field title, answer type, and placeholder text, and select required or optional.

The answer field contains several options including:

  • Text field
  • Text area
  • Dropdown list
  • Checkbox
  • Numeric field
  • Date
  • Email
  • Multi-select
  • Custom text

After creating your new field, you will need to toggle it on for it to appear on the page.

Then, publish your pages for the changes to take effect.

Note: The creation of new custom registration fields can be limited to owners and admins. Reach out to your Account Manager to enable this feature.

Deleting Custom Fields

If you wish to delete a Custom Field as an option for all projects in the Channel, you can do so in the Registration Field modal. Published projects currently utilizing the Custom Fields you delete will remain active on those sites.  You are not able to delete non-custom registration fields at this time, but you can toggle them off if not in use.

In the modal, scroll down to your custom fields and click the pencil icon to the right of the "Required/Optional" toggle.

In the popup, click the "Delete" button. A second popup will ask you if you are sure, as this action cannot be undone.
