Feature Overview: Watermarking

Security around proprietary content is an ever growing concern. Brandlive's Watermarking feature adds a series of watermarks on top of the video player, unique to each attendee. If replications such as screenshots, recordings, or phone/camera shots of the content are shared, your custom watermark will appear to trace the source.

How to Configure

  1. Create a project and navigate to the site editor.
  2. Go to the Pages > Settings tab.
  3. Scroll down to where it says "Watermark" and click "Add"

     4. A new modal will pop up to create and customize your watermark:

Elements to Customize:

  • Title - Give your watermark a name (multiple watermarks may be created if desired)
  • Type - What you will display in your watermark (User Email, Date/Time, Image, or Custom Text)
  • Text - Determines formatting options such as size/scale and placement
  • Opacity - Controls the transparency of your watermark
  • Scale - This determines the size of the watermark relative to the video frame
  • Pattern - will take your element and make it into a pattern across the content
  • Duration - Does the watermark stay up permanently or pulse at different variables

     5. Customize and add as many elements as needed. Note, that you can configure multiple by clicking "Add Element".

     6. Once you've added all elements and a title, you can click save in the bottom right.

     7. Once saved, your newly created watermark will appear in the watermark selection menu:

     8. Select your desired watermark, and you will see it added to your event:

9. You're done! You've successfully configured and added a custom watermark to your project.

Important Notes:

  • Watermarking is only available on session videos.
  • Watermarking is NOT usable in conjunction with embeds.
  • Watermarking is NOT available in iOS full screen mode.
  • Watermarking is NOT available in Picture-in-Picture(PIP) mode on mobile devices
