General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Avatar

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the EU framework that enables protection of personal data collection and privacy of EU citizens (European Union).

By default, Brandlive complies with GDPR on all standard registration pages for Virtual Events and Studio webcasts.  Below will outline general specifications:

  • A conditional checkbox appears based on the country the user selects from the country drop down list on a Brandlive registration page.  If the user selects an EU country, they will be prompted to complete an opt-in checkbox to have their data processed before submitting registration.
  • As the data controller, clients have the ability to customize their own registration fields, country list, and opt-in checkbox messages that appears on the registration page. Requests can be sent to a Brandlive PM/Webcast Engineer for Full Service Clients. Self Service client requests can submit a ticket with Solutions to assist with updating the page.
  • Users have the right to be forgotten. When this is requested, a user’s profile information and data collected will be anonymized within the specified tenant.
