How to Configure a Custom From Email Address

Brandlive offers a variety of customization options when building a site. This article outlines the requirements and steps for customers to use a specific email address rather than "info@brandlive.com" as the from address for platform emails.

  • In your Channel, navigate to the Settings tab:

Implementation Steps:

  • Customer opens a support ticket containing the custom email address
  • Solutions edits the Email Settings in customer channel
  • Solutions enters the custom email address in the “From email” field and clicks Save.
  • This triggers a confirmation email that is sent to the custom email address. 
  • Customer confirms the receipt of the confirmation email
  • Solutions provides a DNS TXT record and CNAME to the customer
    example DNS records:
    TXT:
    host: 123456789pm._domainkey value: k=rsa;p=MIGfMA0GCSqGSIb3DQEBAQUAA4...
    CNAME:
    host: pm-bounces value: pm.mtasv.net
  • Customer creates the DNS TXT record and DNS CNAME
  • Customer confirms the creation of the DNS records
  • Solutions verifies the DNS records using standard name resolutions tools (dig)
  • Solutions changes the from email address to the custom email address
  • Customer registers an event to confirm the registration confirmation email sent from the custom email address.

Note: This address is Channel wide setting and will be applied to all emails from the Channel across all projects.
