How to Configure a Custom Event Domain

In addition to Brandlive's variety of customization offerings, customers can also choose to set their Channel to utilize a custom event domain. This allows the customer to set their event URL domain to something instead of "brandlive.com".

Example:
https://www.abccorp.com/Global-Town-Hall/en vs. https://abccorp.brandlive.com/Global-Town-Hall/en

Implementation Steps:

  • Customer creates a Support Ticket requesting to change your Channel's domain. Include the requested domain in your submission.
  • Customer creates a DNS CNAME for their custom domain that points to "customdomains.brandlive.com".
    example:
    www.abccorp.com -> customdomains.brandlive.com
  • Customer needs to confirm the creation of the DNS CNAME
  • Solutions will validate the DNS CNAME record using a standard name resolution test (dig)
  • Solutions will provide a DNS CNAME record for the automated TLS (SSL) cert creation
  • Customer needs to create the provided DNS CNAME record for the TLS cert
  • Customer needs to confirm the creation of the DNS CNAME record
  • Solutions will validate the DNS CNAME record using a standard name resolution test (dig)
  • Solutions will verify the automated TLS (SSL) cert creation
  • Customer can then Navigate to a Project in your Channel and click the "Copy Link" button.
  • Paste your Event URL to confirm the address now includes the custom domain.

Note: This applies the custom domain to all projects within the Channel.
