Add Virtual Background to your Sessions & Meetings

Virtual Pro Virtual Background feature allows you to display a static image as your background during your meeting & sessions in Virtual Pro Events, which can provide you with more privacy or a consistent and professional look for a presentation.

 

Depending on the device you are joining the meeting with, you can use the Virtual Background feature in the following sections on Virtual Pro Event:

  • Virtual Pro Broadcasting Studio - Live Sessions - For Host & Speaker

  • Room Sessions

  • Lounge Meeting

  • 1:1 Meetings


How to enable the Virtual Background feature?

 

Step 1: Open dashboard > Event > Settings

Step 2: Virtual Backgrounds > Enable the toggle

Step 3: Select the event section in which you want to allow Virtual Background use > Save

 

How to upload custom images for Virtual Background?

 

Step 1: In the Virtual Background settings page > click on upload image

Step 2: You can upload up to 5 background images in JPG & PNG format files in 900x600px

Step 3: Click on Save

 

Note: If the option is not available on the dashboard please contact your CXM.


 

How to enable virtual background in the Virtual Pro Event?

 

Virtual Background feature is supported in the following sections on Virtual Pro Event:

  • Virtual Pro Broadcasting Studio - Live Sessions - For Host & Speaker

  • Room Sessions

  • Lounge Meeting

  • 1:1 Meetings

While joining any sessions or meeting in the above sections, the user will have the option to click on AV & Background Settings > Select a virtual background > Save

 

 


In Virtual Pro Broadcasting Studio 3.0 (HBS Beta Version): The host/speaker can use the virtual backgrounds

Step 1: When selecting AV settings, Tap on the Virtual Background Icon on the video preview window.

Step 2: View a list of BGs defined by the organizer or upload your own.

Step 3: Tap to select the Virtual Background and preview in the window.

Step 4: Save changes to apply to the stream.

Note:

  • This feature is CPU / GPU intensive, PC might heat up. Keep adequate memory free.
  • Ensure well lit room for best results.
  • Avoid busy background to ensure great masking results.
  • For guest users in HBS 3.0, virtual background can only be applied after joining the studio.

In Rooms, Lounge & 1:1 Meeting:

The host/speaker/participants can use the virtual backgrounds

Step 1: Once you are in the sessions/meeting > click on the AV & Background Settings icon

Step 2: Click on the Virtual Background Icon

Step 3: Tap to select the Virtual Background and preview in the window.

 

 

Step 4: Click on Apply Changes.


 

Note:

  • Virtual backgrounds will not be supported on Firefox/Safari browser for now.

  • A user can only delete by either selecting some other b/g or no background at all. While selected, their uploaded background can not be deleted.

  • User can upload a maximum of 5 backgrounds and they will be stored and retailed across the event and is available on HBS, Rooms, Lounges, 1-1 meeting.

  • The user’s last selected background will be retained across the Rooms, Lounges, 1-1 meetings, and HBS. 
    For example, if a user selected blur while joining a room, and go to a 1-1 meeting after that, their background will be blurred by default.
