Marketo - Setting up Marketo on Virtual Pro

Virtual Pro's Marketo integration will enable you to manage your event leads and customer relationship data using the robust functionality of Marketo.

 

What will be the capabilities of Virtual Pro - Marketo Integration?

Virtual Pro will support and provide the below-mentioned workflows with Marketo Integration:-

  • Export your Attendee data to Marketo as Custom Activity (Please note, only Attendee data will be exported from Marketo to Virtual Pro).

  • Import your Event Registration data from Marketo to Virtual Pro.

  • Export the Attendance(show up) data of Events to Marketo as Custom Activity.

  • Export Session registrations and Session attendance analytics of attendees to Marketo as Custom Objects.


Marketo Integration can be divided into the below parts:

 

Part 1: Integrate Marketo with Virtual Pro

Part 2: Import registration data from Marketo to Virtual Pro

Two important pieces of information will be required, validated & stored by Virtual Pro, i.e. Lead ID Email ID

  1. Authenticate your Marketo account on Virtual Pro

  2. Setup the import process 

  3. Virtual Pro will store the Lead ID & Email ID of each imported record in our database

  4. If the export process is setup from Virtual Pro to Marketo, then the same record will be updated with more information (based on lead id)

This Lead ID & Email ID will be stored in Virtual Pro Database & will be used - if you need to export data (Profile Information, Session Registration & Session Analytics) from Virtual Pro to Marketo

 

Part 3: Export data from Virtual Pro to Marketo 

Two important pieces of information will be required & would be validated by Virtual Pro, i.e.Lead ID & Email ID

  1. Authenticate your Marketo account on Virtual Pro & setup the export process

  2. Virtual Pro will check if the Lead ID & Email ID is available in our database

  3. If the same Lead ID is available in Marketo - Virtual Pro will update the information on Marketo under the respective Lead ID/record

  4. If the Lead ID is not available, then Virtual Pro will check if the Email ID exists on Marketo:

    > If yes & it’s a single entry - then Virtual Pro will update the information in it
    > If yes, however, there are multiple entries with the same Email ID - then Virtual Pro will update the information in the record with the latest lead creation time
    > If no - then Virtual Pro will create a new record & update its source as Virtual Pro

  5. In all 3 cases, updated information will be sent back to Virtual Pro & we will store the Lead ID in our database.

     

Part 4: Export session registration and session attendance data from Virtual Pro to Marketo
