How to Configure AI Captions

Brandlive makes it easy to make your content accessible to audiences around the world with AI-generated captions. Start by selecting the base language for your content, then choose which additional supported languages you’d like to make available. Brandlive uses AI to generate captions in each selected language, giving viewers the flexibility to follow along in the language that works best for the, all without the need to create and upload separate caption files.

How to Configure Captions

To enable Brandlive's AI Captions, navigate to your Session Page, then click to open the Session Settings tab. Under Session Options, toggle on "Automatically Generate Captions". This toggle enables captions to be generated during any live or scheduled streams.

Setting up Captions for Multiple Languages

When creating or editing Session details, add your alternate languages in the language section. Once multiple languages are selected, a toggle for a shared video player appears. 

Note: Admins must make sure this toggle is on in order to utilize multi-language captions. If using separate video players per language, the toggle for captions will be greyed out and unavailable.

Attendee Experience

Attendees will see a CC icon available in the video player when captions are enabled.

If using multiple languages, attendees can click the gear icon to edit their settings and choose an alternate language to view.

Users may switch and update their language at any time.

Any captions generated during the live/scheduled stream will remain available if the same session is put On Demand.
