Pre-recorded Video Slides as Source - Volume defaults to blank.

When adding a pre-recorded video slide as a source the volume value will be blank.If the volume is ever changed the volume value will change.

This default indicates that if there is a value, someone has changed the volume which helps with troubleshooting issues.
