What does Force Tunneled Connection mean?

Q: What does Force Tunneled Connection mean?

A: The Force Tunneled Connection option is used to prevent the use of UDP for media streams. This can be used when troubleshooting a poor connection. When selected, media will stream over TCP port 80. The connection will fail if port 80 is not available.

This can be used if a staffer has poor bandwidth, or cannot stream over UDP on a specific network. We do recommend using UDP for all streaming, if possible. Tunneling should be a last resort.

The feature can be enabled in the Edit Source menu from the Source List, or within the Monitor Tool.
